Enjoying life in Austin, Texas

I have decided to start blogging again. We'll see how long it lasts this time :)

Things are going great down here in Austin, Texas. 70 degree weather is fantastic. Every weekend has involved going out and getting in the crowd. SXSW (South by Southwest) has brought over 1600 bands from all over the world. Every venue or store that could have live music has. Rachel and I walked downtown this past weekend with a friend and listened to all the different musicians playing in all the restaurants and bars. I'm ready for ACL (Austin City Limits) now!

I've found myself getting away from the computer and video games more and more these days. This town encourages an active lifestyle--which is a good thing. Rachel and I have been exercising more lately and we are looking into kayaking and biking. We have to be picky though, sports such as these tend to be costly.

Speaking of costly, I've been holding off on getting a XBOX 360 for quite some time. But this weekend I finally gave in and purchased one. All of co-workers play Halo 3. Its so much fun playing a video game with a large group of friends. I find myself only wanting to play 'social' games these days--like Smash Brothers Brawl.

I'll try to log my experiences/journey more often now. Stay tuned.
